Player and Manager/Coach registrations are open for the 2019 GBA Fall Leagues. The fall leagues are preparation for next spring baseball season. In most cases, the age group is playing with rules similar to the league they will be playing in for the 2020 spring baseball season. GBA plays games with neighboring communities in the fall such as Batavia and St. Charles. The season starts with practices in mid-August, with 12 games scheduled to start soon after that, weather permitting. All leagues Minor and above will play a single elimination tournament at the end of the season, weather permitting.
Examples of leagues are as follows for the fall season:
How do I help prepare my child for baseball tryouts?
What do evaluators look for at tryouts?
Are there any tips to reduce my child’s nerves before tryouts?
We would like to introduce our 2019 Pre-Tryout Camp. This three day camp is designed to evaluate players and help them focus on amplifying their current strengths and addressing their current weaknesses.
Our coaching staff has played and evaluated at all levels, with over 10 years of experience.
Day one of the camp will be a practice tryout. We have worked directly with GBA in order to simulate their tryout process.
The following two days, players will be placed in specific groups to help improve their areas of weakness.
Players will spend more time improving the areas they scored low on, while also enhancing the areas they scored high on.
Areas of focus include:
Hitting (Rapsodo Hitting & Blast Motion)
Fielding Glove Work
Baserunning Speed and Agility
The following metrics and items will be collected during the camp:
