Geneva Baseball Registration Instructions, Spring 2008

The procedure for on-line registration is different from previous years. Please carefully read all of the instructions in this document as well as those on the registration pages. If you have any questions on the registration process please send email to John Lash.

The first page of the registration process will ask whether you are a “Returning User”. If any member of your family played for Geneva Baseball during the 2007 season, you should select this option. Please see the paragraph in this document labeled Returning User for instructions for logging into the site. If no member of your family played for Geneva Baseball in 2007, then refer to the New User paragraph.

New User: Please enter contact information for the parents, being sure to provide primary and emergency phone numbers, home address, and an email address. You are also prompted for a password. This is your password for accessing your family information on the website in the future. Once you have completed the form, please click on the “Continue to Step 2” button. Please continue reading the instructions at the “All Users” paragraph.

Returning User: Please click on the link at the end of the "Returning User" line. You'll be taken to a page that prompts for the parent's "First Name", "Last Name", "Email Address", and "Password". You will not know your password, so click on the link at the end of the line that says: "If you have forgotten your password, click here". A new screen will prompt for the parent's first and last name and email address. If this matches our records, an email containing your password will be sent to you. If this fails, please try the name and email address of the other parent. Once you have your password, return to the Registration page and re-start the registration process. After you enter the data at the prompts you will be taken to a page showing family and player information. If this step fails and you do not receive your password, please contact John Lash. Please continue reading the instructions at the “All Users” paragraph.

All Users: You are now on the “GBA Registration” page, please review all of the family and player data. There will be player data for all children that played in the 2007 seasons. Make any corrections and additions using the “Edit” buttons on this page. You can add new players using the "Add Player" button. When you are satisfied with all of the information, click the "continue" button to review your registration fees.

On the "Review Registration" page, you will be shown the amount that will be billed to your credit card, as well as two buttons to click regarding "Power of Attorney for Consent to Treatment of Minors", and a "Hold Harmless Agreement". These are the same agreements that are on the paper registrations in the past. The text for both agreements is at the bottom of the web-page. If you are able to agree please click the appropriate boxes, the click "Continue to Payment". If you do not click the agreements, you will not be able to complete the registration process.

This next page is a secure website to enter credit card information for payment of league fees. Geneva Baseball does not retain any credit card information in our database. By pressing the ">> Continue" button, you will see a new page where you will be prompted to review all of the payment information you entered. When you are satisfied that it is all correct, you can click the “I Authorize this transaction” button to continue the transaction. The final page requests confirmation of the transaction, click the “Submit Transaction For Processing” button and your registration payment will be submitted. The final page should either indicate that the credit card information was accepted and show you the final billing results, or will indicate that the transaction was denied and offer possible reasons.

When it is all over you will be presented with a button to take you back to Geneva Baseball. There you can again enter the registration area, enter your name, email and password to review the registration status of your players. You will also receive an email receipt from Geneva Baseball.

If you have any problems during registration wish to quit and start over, you can close the browser window at any time up till the final transaction confirmation and either start over or ask for help.
