GBA Scholarship

Geneva Baseball Association (GBA) is proud to offer two (2) $750 scholarships to graduating High School Senior who is a past or current member of GBA. You must have played in the league and/or umpired for at least two (2) seasons. We look forward to your 2025 application.

1. The purpose of this scholarship is to financially assist graduating High School Seniors pursuing further education.

2. The amount is $750 to be awarded to two (2) GBA Scholarship applicants (Total of $1,500).

3. The scholarship awards will be presented at the GHS Senior award ceremony.

4. Student must have been a registered participant of GBA for at least two (2) full seasons.

5. The Applicant must have maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application and maintained through graduation.

6. The Applicant must be accepted to a two (2) or four (4) year undergraduate program at a vocational training facility, community college or university.

7. Only those students making applications will be considered.

8. Applicants must submit an essay that accompanies their application. Specific instructions can be found on the application sheet. Applications will not be returned to applicants.

9. Completed applications must be received via email no later than April 5, 2025.

10. The Scholarship Committee shall consist of at least three (3) GBA Board Members (Members must not be related to applicants).

11. The Scholarship selections will be approved by the GBA Board of Directors on April 15, 2025. 

 12. GBA reserves the right to withdraw or cancel this scholarship award at their sole discretion.

This scholarship is supplemental to any other form of scholarship, grants, aid, etc. and; therefore, will not jeopardize the applicant's ability to receive these other forms.
