Mustang
This is developmental league with an introduction to competitive baseball with emphasis on skill development and good sportsmanship. The players are introduced to pitching at this level. During the first three weeks of the season, pitching will be considered instructional. After the instructional period, umpires will be at games to call balls and strikes. Base stealing is not allowed at this level.

Players in this league are in 2nd Grade
When
Season begins with in early April. Games start around the last Saturday in April and the season concludes with an end of season tournament before the July 4th break.
Where
Practices and games are held at Esping, Mill Creek, Peck Fields and Sunset Fields.

Practices are held at least once a week starting in early April.
Games
Teams may play up to 20 games (including the year end tournament) with games starting in late April concluding prior to July 4th holiday.
Games will be six inning game with a maximum run limit of 4 runs for the first 4 innings. There is no run limit in the 5th and 6th innings. Pitching dimensions are 42 feet, with bases 60 feet apart. Scores are kept but not reported. Standings are also not maintained.
Jerseys
The GBA provides each player with a hat, jersey, pants and socks. There are also helmets available at each practice and game, however just about all the kids have their own these days due to hygiene concerns. GBA also provides catcher equipment for each team.
Extra Costs
The equipment that you will need to get: Glove, Cleats (rubber), and Athletic Cup (boy players). Optional equipment are Bat, Batting Helmet and Carry Bag. Note that each year in March we have a GBA sponsored discount day at Dicks Sporting Goods in the Geneva Commons.
